Precautions for product selection and use
When ordering and using KITZ SCT products, give the following items your attention and consent. Regarding the KITZ SCT products in the General Product Catalog cited here, consult your nearest sales office. As well, because the catalog content as noted above may change without notice, be sure to confirm that you are using the latest version.
1. Precautions for product selection
1-1.
The usage ranges of the products in the General Product Catalog are regulated based on public standards as well as those of KITZ SCT; confirm upon selection. Consult KITZ SCT with any questions about specifications, performance, etc. Select an appropriate product upon confirmation of the product specifications and usage conditions such as fluid, temperature, pressure, and so on.
1-2.
When our products are used in a legally regulated environment, or where the specifications and the like are specified in the standards/regulations established by the office or the like where our products are installed, be sure to confirm the standards/regulations in advance and select the appropriate products.
1-3.
When using our products in fields such as nuclear power, railways, aircraft, aerospace, vehicles, medical equipment, food manufacturing equipment, entertainment equipment, safety equipment and the like, be sure to check with us in advance and take sufficient safety measures.
1-4.
When exporting KITZ SCT products, permission from METI is required, based on the relevant legal regulations such as the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act and the Export Trade Control Order. Consult KITZ SCT in advance if anything is unclear.
2. Precautions for product use
2-1.
In order to use our products safely, be sure to conduct periodic inspections and suitable maintenance and replacement, with attention to the facilities and equipment where our products are installed as well as to their usage conditions, environment, fluids, usage period, and other conditions.
2-2.
The period of usage for KITZ SCT products is not officially determined, as it depends on the conditions in 2-1 above and on the status of inspection, maintenance, etc.
2-3.
Be sure to acquire a copy of our instruction manuals, etc., and to confirm thoroughly the "Warning" and "Caution" indications therein, in order to conduct correct and safe periodic inspection and suitable maintenance and replacement of KITZ SCT products. Consult KITZ SCT if anything is unclear.
3. Product warranty
3-1.
Warranty period
The warranty period is 1 year from delivery. Breakdowns caused within this period by failure to fulfill delivery specifications in products delivered by KITZ SCT will be handled by repair or replacement free of charge.
3-2.
Warranty scope
The warranty scope is limited to KITZ SCT products manufactured and delivered by our manufacturing plants.
The warranty does not cover compensation for breakdowns or accidents, opportunity loss/profit loss/secondary damage/damage to other companies' products suffered by the customer, or replacement/readjustment/trial operation of onsite mechanical facilities, whether occurring within the warranty period or not.
In addition, the responsibility for safety management with regard to use of the delivered products and peripheral devices lies with the user.
The following situations are not covered by the warranty, even if occurring within the warranty period.
1) Breakdowns due to replacement (maintenance) of parts of the delivered product by non-KITZ SCT personnel.
2) Breakdowns due to natural disasters or force majeure.
3) Breakdowns due to improper or careless handling.
4) Use or storage in an unsuitable environment.
5) Use beyond the range specified in the design specifications, modification of the delivered product, or use for purposes other than those specified.
6) Corrosion or breakdowns due to external causes or corrosive fluids.
7) Damage due to situations unpredictable with the technology level as of shipping of our products.
8) Other situations judged not to be the responsibility of KITZ SCT.

Ordering products
As we offer a wide range of diverse products, confirm the part number, size, material, and grade in the product code list before placing your order.
Product description
Due to limited space, detailed product descriptions are omitted. Contact your sales representative in regard to any unclear points or to technical data.
Products with special specifications
We also manufacture products with special specifications suited to individual specification needs, in addition to those in the catalog. Contact your sales representative with the details of the specifications required.
Product dimensions
Except in special cases, all product dimensions are indicated in mm. Note that the dimensions in the catalog are representative values to be used for reference. Some tube sizes are indicated in inches.
Precautions for product selection
Unlimited combinations are possible with the product code list, but not all combinations are supported. Please note that some combinations are not available.
Due to their structure, compression fittings may cause gas to pool or generate particles. Take sufficient care with the usage locations during use.

Product unpackaging
With some exceptions, KITZ SCT products are manufactured in cleanroom environments, maintaining high product cleanliness. Unpackage products within a cleanroom environment.
Precautions for use
With some exceptions, KITZ SCT products are intended for use in cleanrooms or equivalent environments. In other usage environments, product performance may suffer. Please note that KITZ SCT bears no responsibility should this occur. As well, product leak performance and other basic performance functions may suffer in the case of excess impact. Handle with great care.
Precautions for export
When exporting KITZ SCT products, permission from METI is required, based on the regulations of the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act and the Export Trade Control Order. Consult KITZ SCT if anything is unclear.
Other precautions
